Warning for Muslim men 35–60

Do something for your joints now. Before they decide what you can still do.

After 35, your body loses a little muscle every year. The muscle that carries your knees, your back, and you up from sujood. Day by day you get more limited. Most men only react when it already hurts.

Scene: the same man five years ago getting up from the grass in one go with his son, and today sitting hunched on the sofa with his hands on his knees

  2. Then your energy goesEmpty by 7 pm. Coffee number 4. Everyone calls it “getting old”. It isn't.
  3. It has one cause most men missIt's there all year and grows with every birthday. Once you know it, it's simple to fix.

Tap the signs above that sound like you.

These signs can have many causes. If yours are strong, new or getting worse, please see your doctor.

Most men blame one of three things. All three are wrong.

It's not laziness. It's not weak iman. And it's not just age.

LAZY

You still work full days. You still show up. Your willpower is fine. Your fuel is low.

WEAK IMAN

Wanting to get up for Fajr and struggling to get up are two different things. One is the heart. The other is the body.

JUST AGE

Age plays a part. But researchers in Germany found that one missing nutrient looks so much like normal ageing that it's often spotted late.1

So you try to fix it yourself. Coffee. Pills. The gym. Here's why none of it works.

Part 2 of 7 · What you tried

Coffee, pills, the gym: why none of it worked (and it's not your fault)

4 things men try first

Illustration: coffee, cheap pills, random shilajit and more gym all crossed out, the fuel gauge still on empty
  • Coffee & energy drinks: a kick, then the 3 pm crash. Fills nothing.
  • Cheap multivitamins: a little of everything. Often gelatin softgels, not always halal.
  • Random shilajit: unclear source, often no lab test, unknown dose.
  • More gym, less sleep: on an empty tank you just get more tired.

Coffee pushes the engine. Nothing fills the tank.

So what is this tank, and why does it run lower every year? The answer is outside your window.

Part 3 of 7 · The real cause

You're not lazy. You're low on sun.

Your skin is a vitamin D factory

Illustration: sun on bare skin makes vitamin D, which travels through the body to the muscles, bones and defences

Sun on your skin makes vitamin D. Your blood carries it to your muscles, bones and defences.

But the factory only runs with direct sun on bare skin. Not through a window. Not through clothes.15

Why Muslim men live in the gap, all year

Illustration in four panels: inside all day behind glass, covered by modest clothes, darker skin with more melanin, older skin makes less vitamin D
  • Inside all day: office, car, warehouse, home. Glass blocks the rays.15
  • Covered: modest clothes cover most of your skin.
  • Darker skin: more melanin, slower factory.
  • Every birthday: skin at 70 makes 3–4× less than at 20.3

That's why the NHS says: if you cover most of your skin or have darker skin, consider vitamin D all year.2

And winter makes the gap even deeper

Illustration: in summer strong sun makes vitamin D in the skin that flows into the blood, in winter almost none

In the UK and most of Europe, from October to early March the sun is too low. The factory almost stops, even outside.2

So the gap never really closes. Smaller in summer, deeper in winter, there all year.

Even where the sun shines almost all year

Okay, low vitamin D. So what? Here's what it does to a man's day.

Part 4 of 7 · What it does

Vitamin D is a key. Your body has many locks.

No key, and the locks get stiff

Illustration: vitamin D as a golden key for three locks, muscles, bones and defences

Your muscles, bones and defences all need vitamin D to do their normal job.2

Low on it, you feel drained. So you move less and drink more coffee. Less sun, less movement: every year feels a little heavier.

Same day. Two different tanks.

Pick the one that fits your life.

Nice story. But where's the proof? Here it is, including the parts other brands leave out.

Part 5 of 7 · The proof

What the research really shows

120 tired adults, all low on vitamin D

Illustration of the study: 72 percent felt less tired with vitamin D, 50 percent with a dummy pill

Half got vitamin D, half a dummy pill. Nobody knew who got what. After 4 weeks, 72% vs 50% felt less tired.8

The catch:One big dose, adults 20–50, only 4 weeks. It helped people who were low. If your level is already fine, don't expect much.

And testosterone?

Illustration: the same man at 38, 50 and 60, his testosterone gauge a little lower each time

From your late 30s it can drop about 1% a year.12 You don't feel 1% this year. You feel 20% over 20 years.

Men low on vitamin D more often have lower testosterone.9 But a link is not proof, and a 12-week trial did not raise it.10 So: don't chase boosters. Cover the basics first.

After 50: the 48 moments a day that matter

Illustration: a man in prayer going down into sujood and back up, the thigh muscles do the lifting

Down to the floor and back up: 17 times a day in the fard prayers, up to 48 with sunnah.13 Getting up from sujood takes strong thighs.

very difficult for me to get back up from sajdah

A chair or cushion is allowed, and it helps. “A Muslim prays according to his ability.” Shaykh Salih al-Fawzan14

Joint pain has many causes. Please see your doctor about it. This page is about the muscles and bones that carry your joints.

That's why coffee, pills and the gym never fixed it: none of them closes the sun gap.

A strong believer is better and is more lovable to Allah than a weak believer, and there is good in everyone.

Sahih Muslim 2664

Your body is an amanah, a trust. Taking care of it isn't vanity. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Your body has a right over you.” (Bukhari 5199)

Strong doesn't mean big muscles. It means having something left at the end of the day.

For your family. Your friends. Your work. Your masjid.

Point by point:

Jar 1 · D3 K21. Gives you what your skin can't make indoors

One gummy gives you 2,000 IU of vitamin D3, every day, sun or no sun. The NHS says: if you cover most of your skin or have darker skin, consider daily vitamin D all year.2

Jar 2 · Nur al-Shifa2. Shilajit: Ibn Sina described it. Science tests it.

Why Muslim physicians led world medicine: Ibn Sina and shilajit

Not the random resin from Part 2: 150 mg of purified, lab-tested shilajit in an exact dose. It's the mineral-rich mountain resin the great Muslim physician Ibn Sina wrote about roughly 1,000 years ago. Today it's tested in clinical trials.11 Those used higher doses, so we don't borrow their numbers.

Jar 1 · D3 K23. Supports the muscles that carry your knees

Stairs, the floor, sujood: it all runs on your thighs and hips. They carry your knees every step. And your muscles need vitamin D to work normally.

Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function.

“Halal” on the label isn't always halal

Many Muslims have stopped trusting supplements. Here's why, and what we do differently.

This is what the Ummah is being sold

What Muslims say about other “halal” supplements

“…somewhere along the lines they changed their formula, and it does have gelatin now. This also happened with some other vitamins.”

Reddit, r/islam

“A lot of capsules (particularly the shell coating) is made of pork gelatine hence why I stick to tablets, liquids, or gummies.”

A pharma worker on Reddit

“Im extremely hesitant in purchasing this product on the basis there is no certification.”

Review of another brand, Trustpilot

No diet needed

Keep eating what you love. Three small Sunnah habits help:

  • Walk to the masjid when you can.
  • Sleep soon after Isha. (Bukhari 568)

Is this for you?

Yes, if…

  • you're 35–60 and feel drained, heavy or slow to get up
  • you want your energy back for your kids, your wife, your friends, your job, your football or your masjid. With or without a family.
  • you work inside, cover up or have darker skin
  • you want halal, no hormones and no stimulants

No, if…

  • you want a fat burner or a quick kick
  • you expect big changes in 3 days
  • you take blood thinners (like warfarin) and haven't asked your doctor. K2 and black seed can affect clotting.
  • you take regular medication or have a diagnosed illness and haven't asked your doctor

Questions men ask us

Is it really halal?

Yes. Both jars are halal certified. No gelatin, no talc. You'll find the certificate in the halal part above.

Do I only need it in winter?

No. If you're inside most of the day, cover most of your skin or have darker skin, the NHS says to consider vitamin D all year.2 Winter only makes the gap deeper. Take it every day.

Can't I just take vitamin D3 on its own?

You can, and it helps close the sun gap. But then you only get one piece. The set adds K2, the partner for your bones, and a second jar with black seed oil, shilajit, ajwa date, costus and fig. That's the part no pharmacy vitamin has.

Does it contain hormones or caffeine?

No. No hormones, no caffeine, no stimulants.

Is this a testosterone booster?

No. It's a daily nutrition set. Shilajit has been studied for testosterone, but those studies used more than our 150 mg. So we don't promise you any testosterone numbers.

Is it a fat burner?

No. It's not a weight-loss product. It won't burn fat. It covers the basics your body needs every day.

Why 2,000 IU of vitamin D?

Health authorities set 4,000 IU (100 µg) a day as the upper limit for adults.2 2,000 IU is half of that. If your doctor gave you a different dose, follow your doctor. Don't add other vitamin D products without asking.

I take blood thinners or diabetes medication. Can I take it?

Ask your doctor first. Vitamin K2 and black seed can affect blood clotting. The gummies also contain small amounts of honey and date sugar.

Do I have to change my diet?

No. Keep eating what you love. The small Sunnah habits in the ritual help, but the set works as a daily routine on its own.

How long until I notice something?

Vitamin D builds up over weeks. Give it 8–12 weeks, the time most studies look at. Take it every day.

Can I take it in Ramadan?

Yes. Take one of each at suhoor or after iftar.

Can I buy it for my father or brother?

Yes, many do. Just check his medication with his doctor first, especially blood thinners.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Skip, pause or cancel any time.

P.S. In a hurry? Here's the short version.

Inside all day, covered skin, darker skin, every birthday: most Muslim men make too little vitamin D, all year long. Winter makes it even worse. It feels like tiredness, heavy legs and “just getting old.”

The 2-in-1 Set closes the gap with D3 + K2, and Jar 2 adds what no vitamin D pill has: black seed, shilajit, ajwa date, costus and fig. One gummy from each jar after Fajr. 50% off and $73 in gifts right now.
